The South Westland and Fiordland regions are within reach for us, and Red Deer, Chamois and Tahr are accessible in these areas. The Haast area has an abundance of chamois which makes for successful and enjoyable hunting, or a good opportunity for amateur hunting trips.
We offer premium flight packages that include a 60-minute tour to Mount Dechen or a premium two-hour Milford Sound excursion. HeliServicesNZ Haast also offers four-hour private fishing tours into remote wilderness areas only accessible by helicopter.
We work with rafting and kayaking companies who will organise your rafting adventure down our local rivers, such as the Landsborough River, including overnight camping.
From October-April our professional fishing guide can provide every opportunity for the fishing connoisseur to experience the Haast World Heritage area while casting for the elusive freshwater Brown Trout at one of our exclusive, secluded river sites.
We provide one of the most breathtaking ways to make the most of your visit here. Our pilots provide you with an informative commentary on the area, and a landing that allows you to experience the beauty of the area up close. Our fleet of three-seater and four-seater helicopters ensure every passenger has a stunning view of this ever-changing landscape.

The Haast flight office
Our Haast flight office is on the main street of Haast township, in the wooden building on the corner of State Highway 6 and Marks Road (next to the Hard Antler Bar and Restaurant). This is your first stop to check in for a flight or make a booking. Our helipad is at the same location. Flights depart every day of the year subject to weather conditions.

Check-in time is 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time. This allows time for payment processing and aircraft allocation.
