HeliServices.NZ and COVID-19

HeliServices.NZ strives to ensure safety is our top priority which includes our commitment to health and well being of our customers, passengers, contractors and employee's. As of December 1st 2021, New Zealand will move to a traffic light system which will require all our customers, passengers, contractors 12 years and older to have downloaded the “New Zealand My Vaccine pass” ready to present to our flight offices and remote departure locations prior to confirmation of bookings or departures.

We are guided by the Ministry of Health and overseeing Authorities and wish to ensure we are providing the best and safest experience for our Employee's, customers, passengers, contractors and Government agencies we work with from time to time.

As well as via electronic means utilising the “New Zealand My Vaccine Pass” we will accept printed (hard copy) confirmation of double vaccination against Covid-19.

Should any customers, passengers, contractors/government contractors not be double vaccinated or are not exempt, they will not be able to fly with us. We must have confirmation at our office, base, remote base entry point to satisfy MOH guidelines.

The traffic light system guidelines for customer requirements;

At Green status

All customers will need to have a digital or hard copy proof of double vaccination (NZ My Vaccine Pass) prior to arrival and present these to our front line staff (or pilots, ground crew at our remote operations sights)

At Orange status

All customers, passengers, contractors will need to have a digital or hard copy proof of double vaccination (NZ My Vaccine Pass) prior to arrival and present these to our front line staff (or pilots, ground crew at our remote operations sights)

All customers, passengers, contractors must wear face coverings at all times. Social distancing of at least 1 metre must be upheld unless you are within your own family bubble, which can be arranged within the confinements of our helicopters as necessary.

At Red status

Hygiene

  • NZ staff are fully informed as changes happen with Covid-19 protocols and procedures through government (including Ministry of Health) guidelines
  • Covid-19 Tracer App digital QR codes are posted at each office entry for ease of customer scanning including at hangars
  • Hand written forms are made available at each HeliServices.NZ office location and including hangars
  • Hand sanitiser is made available at every HeliServices.NZ office and hangar/s
  • NZ have a written policy regarding regular wiping down of high use areas including front of office areas where the majority of customers check in

HeliServices.NZ is COVID Clean Approved 

The COVID Clean Approved logo represents that a Qualmark awarded operator has declared they are implementing health and hygiene measures to help protect against COVID-19, in accordance with government guidelines.

The COVID Clean Approved certification is formally recognised by the World Travel & Tourism Council and provides assurance that regulatory requirements, best practice and common global safety standards are being met by operators. Travellers will have the ability to see a list of COVID Clean Approved operators via newzealand.com.

It is compulsory for Qualmark members to become COVID Clean Approved certified. To achieve this certification, members must show that they have a robust understanding of the COVID-19 environment and how this relates to their staff practice, cleaning procedures and business operations. If members are required to address certain areas before certification can be issued, there is an opportunity to retake the assessment once these processes have been implemented.
